RC56 Historical Sociology
Welcome to the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee on Historical Sociology.
A long term perspective…
Our committee fosters collaboration among researchers, scholars, and practitioners who are passionate about understanding how historical context shapes social structures, relationships, and cultural practices. We encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and provide a platform for sharing innovative research that unpacks the complexities of society through a historical lens. Join us as we delve into the past to better understand the present and inform the future of sociology.
